Sacred Grounds

What Our Ballparks Mean to Us

Robby Incmikoski with Kyle Fager

Former Major League Baseball TV field reporter Robby Incmikoski invites fans on an unprecedented journey through America’s favorite pastime in his debut book, Sacred Grounds — an immersive collection of photography and first-person stories celebrating the character, culture, and community of every MLB ballpark.

After 16 seasons traveling the league as a reporter for the Twins, Pirates, and Rangers, Incmikoski brings readers where few get to go — from dugouts and clubhouses to media booths and bullpens — capturing thousands of behind-the-scenes images and 120+ interviews with the people who make each park special.

Sacred Grounds pairs Incmikoski’s all-access photography with moving, funny, and deeply personal reflections from players, broadcasters, and fans whose lives have been shaped by the game. The book blends history, nostalgia, and awe into a vivid portrait of what baseball means to America’s cities.

As a lifelong baseball fan, Sacred Grounds gave me a perspective of my favorite game that I've never seen. The behind the scenes pics, stories and anecdotes that have brought me closer to the game. I highly recommend for any baseball fan wanting to see a different side of their hometown nine.
